Eric Lefkofsky together with his wife Liz Lefkofsky founded The Lefkofsky Family Foundation in 2006. The private charitable foundation aims at enhancing the quality of human life in various communities through advancing high impact initiatives, programs, and research. The foundation is focused on achieving its purpose through expanding cultural activities, improving fundamental human rights; propelling innovative medical research and ensuring a large number of children get the quality education.
The foundation has been involved in extensive programs from different categories which include; arts and culture, education, medical and fundamental human rights. The foundation seeks to support as many children as possible in helping them get access to quality education. The LFF also supports initiatives that are geared in advancing equitable education for all. It also supports the strengthening of public schools. The LFF is also focused on funding medical research which is innovating to help prevent or cure some diseases. The Foundation is keen on fostering human dignity by resiliently advocating for human rights and thereby helps in improving the quality of life around the world. It has forged forward to support many programs in relations to civic and arts mainly to promote creativity across the country.
The Liz and Lefkofsky foundation has been openly active in supporting different organizations. It also openly invites other organizations to apply for grants. The foundation has been solely focused on the well being of humanity since it was founded. The foundation has established core values that govern its running. The foundation has put their main focus on the basics of a human being, for instance, a good education. The LLF is committed to supporting innovative medical research especially in regards to medical treatment of children.
Eric Lefkofsky is also the co-founder of Tempus, a recently established organization that focuses on extensive Cancer medical treatment using the latest technology means as the key tool. Tempus focuses on helping as many cancer patients as it possibly can and its programs are gradually expanding internationally. Eric is also the co-founder and Chairman of Groupon. He also the managing director of Lightbank which deals with disruptive technologies and businesses investments.
